Global Scholars. Lesson 9. Community Action Project!! Step 1.

Hi everyone!

Every day, students just like you around the world are taking action to improve their communities. This year, you have learned how food is important to your life, your city, and the world. You have also practiced collaborating and creating projects. Now it’s time to use what you have learned to make an impact on your community. It’s a big task, but anything is possible when you work together.

In this unit, choose a goal and create a Community Action Project that will improve one  part of your local food system, such as how food is grown, consumed, accessed, or disposed of. As you plan and take action, document your work to share withinternational peers. By sharing ideas, you will learn how Global Scholars around the world are solving similar issues, and find inspiration from each others’ projects!
